House Finding Services: We specialize in finding classically Italian properties for sale in desirable areas in what we believe to be taly's most beautiful and best-kept secrets -- the Unesco World Heritage protected regions of Piedmont and Liguria. We are not agents. We track and present listings from all sales agents and sales agencies to our clients and introduce our clients to the sales agents for property viewings.
House Buying Services: We counsel, represent, and help guide Buyers -- for all regions of Italy -- through the intricate Buying Process from the All-Important offer to the deed signing. We advise on Buyer Protections, represent and protect the Buyers' Interests, and keep the file moving forward.
Other Services: We are here, on-the-ground, to offer clients a wide range of hard-to-find and often essential services, Including obtaining the elusive codice fiscale, on-site visits, videotaping, drone footage, geometra inspections, personal tours of the area, acting as Power of Attorney, etc., etc.
We moved here several years ago and in the process discovered a serious need for anyone looking to find and buy a house in Italy where there are no buyer's agents, only seller's agents. We are not agents but we act as the buyer's representative -- here, on the ground.
Why House Finders?
We are the original, the OG House Finders, in business since 2019.
We have helped hundreds of clients to Find and/or Buy in Italy. Through this we have gained invaluable experience and expertise on the process, not to mention insight and the correct approach into how things work here!
We do the monumental groundwork necessary to help clients find the right house in the right location.
We facilitate, steer, and counsel clients through the unconventional Italian buying process, providing Buyer Protections through every step.
We live here, we are native English speakers, we speak Italian.
Why Piedmont?
- Affordable - house prices here are significantly lower than comps in its better-known neighbors of Tuscany, Umbria, Amalfi Coast, The Lakes Region.
- Nature - Piedmont is a region of spectacular natural beauty with lakes and forests and mountains and valleys. Covered in vineyards and hazelnut groves and sunflowers and lavender campi. With fields so vibrant green that they glow. With almost 300 square miles of national parks, Piedmont ranks as one of the top regions in acreage of protected natural lands, and one of the top regions in number of trees per hectare, an important contributor to and consideration for a high standard of air quality.
- Undeveloped - Much of Piedmont is covered by Unesco World Heritage site protections which greatly limit development, construction, and industry. Much of Piedmont is rural, in the country - but with an abundance of quintessential hilltop towns and ancient villages located throughout, houses in most regions are rarely remote or isolated.
- Centrally Located - At almost any location in Piedmont, you are just an hour or so drive from some of Italy's most spectacular cities and places including Milan, Turin, the Dolomites, Barolo, the Lakes District (Como, Maggiore, Orta...), Genoa, the Italian Riviera, Portofino, Cinque Terre.
- The Monferrato - is stunningly beautiful and surprisingly undeveloped. We have been traveling throughout and taking in all corners of Piedmont over the years and we find this little known area of Monferrato to be extremely special. Many people describe it as Tuscany of 50 years ago.
- The Whole Package - Because of its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, undisturbed historic towns, and comparatively low real estate prices, many are now naming Piedmont as the best place to buy a house in Italy.
And Liguria...?
- Don't get us wrong, the Amalfi Coast is unlike any other, with its rich history, stunning coastline, and world-wide reputation. But if you don't like 7-hour traffic jams, and you appreciate wide, palm-tree-lined boulevards flanking turn-of the century villas overlooking the sea, plenty of parking, seemingly endless lungomares where you can stroll, jog, and ride bike on dedicated lanes undisturbed by traffic, train stops at nearly every seaside village, a coastline that outshines all others, then join us in discovering our hands-down favorite region of Italy.
